South Australia's economy is expected to grow significantly with major investments in infrastructure

The 2023-24 budget saw the South Australian Government commit $21 billion towards public sector infrastructure, with just under $10 billion allocated to roads and public transport. Against this backdrop, the SA Major Projects Conference will focus on the key projects in the pipeline for South Australia while providing a platform to discuss important infrastructure topics.

Attracting over 150 delegates, the event also offers highly valuable networking sessions that provide the opportunity to form new and lasting business connections during one-on-one exchanges between conference attendees.

Jon Whelan, the Chief Executive of the Department for Infrastructure and Transport, will deliver a presentation on the state's infrastructure pipeline. This includes the construction of new and improved roads, intersections, bridges, rail, and social infrastructure. The infrastructure projects are designed to benefit both current and future generations of South Australians.

Regional Development South Australia (RDSA) is committed to supporting the economic development initiatives of eight RDAs based in South Australia, including Metropolitan Adelaide. These RDAs play a crucial role in shaping the future and well-being of the State. An investment of $2.3 billion will be made over the course of five years to improve healthcare services in South Australia. Judith Formston, Deputy Chief Executive Corporate Services at the Department of Health and Wellbeing, will deliver a presentation providing an overview of the major projects being managed by the Infrastructure Branch that supports the department.

Renewal SA is the primary urban development agency of the South Australian Government. The agency has a wide-ranging portfolio of projects, consisting of residential and commercial developments, public lands and buildings. Renewal SA aims to enhance the quality of life of South Australians by stimulating investment and growth through property and projects. Chris Menz, the CEO of Renewal SA, will provide an overview of the agency's upcoming initiatives.

Infrastructure SA is currently working on the next 20-Year State Infrastructure Strategy to evaluate South Australia's infrastructure requirements. Additionally, ISA is exploring sustainable means of supplying water to northern South Australia (Northern Water Supply) and finding solutions for passenger transport issues affecting the Mount Barker to Adelaide Corridor (Mount Barker Mass Transit).
